Connect & Serve

As an equipping church, we are all considered “ministers” of Christ, gifted and called to serve and love others. With the unique blend of skills, interests, passions, personalities and experiences each partner brings, it’s no wonder that Messiah is an amazing community of believers. It is through each and every person that God’s work is done. The people are the church and the church is on the move, serving in the community and reaching out to the world.

With so much ministry happening all around us, there is a place and a need for every person, but we’re careful not to just fill slots. Serving is a personal and spiritual offering to the Lord. By using your unique gifts, you’re saying “here I am Lord, doing what you created me to do.” You’re honoring God, just by being YOU.

Have you discovered your gifts yet? Sometimes, as we grow in faith and knowledge our gifts can even change. It’s important to know who you are and how God created you. At Messiah, it’s our goal to help you through the discovery process and better equip you for a life of Christ honoring service.

Connecting Conversations

We invite you to an informal conversation with a member of the “Connections Team” to get to know you. We can meet at church, in your home, or at a nearby Starbuck’s. Allow about an hour for some get acquainted time. There is no pressure to “sign up” for anything. Our wish is to know you better and help you get connected in your own time and in your own way. Equipping Workshops

Messiah’s Equipping Workshops are designed to bring the leaders of Messiah together in fellowship and learning. Three workshops are held annually. Past topics have included keys to leadership, becoming an equipping church, effective communication and team building. Though most workshops are targeted for leaders, all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
