Hope 4 Kids International
For 15 years Messiah has supported this wonderful ministry, a non-profit organization making a difference in the lives of kids all over the world bringing hope to kids in the greatest need through health, love, dignity, and joy. To develop a deeper partnership with our Ugandan brothers and sisters, we are sending mission teams to Uganda each year. Over the past few years, Messiah has adopted the Uganda Outreach specifically. We have financed half of a medical clinic built in the small village outside of Tororo, and our children have raised offerings to construct a Sunday school building. This past year Messiah was the catalyst for raising enough money to build a hospital in the village and construction is well underway!

Mexico Mission Trips
Each spring a group of adults and teens travel across the border to build homes for families in Tijuana, Mexico. This outreach supports the work of Lutheran Border Concerns ministry.
In the summer, our Senior High youth spend a week at the San Juan Bosco Orphanage, in Tecate, Mexico, help with various projects, and learn about reality from a Mexican perspective. Third World Opportunities sponsor this effort.

Community Center for the Reconciliation of Children
Through Pastor Baesler’s connection as a missionary in Brazil for 11 years, we have started a partnership with this ministry with street children in the city of São Paulo. Currently we are raising funds to help construct educational facilities for this ministry. For pictures and information regarding this vital ministry go to

Paint your Heart Out
For over 10 years Messiah has been an active participant and leader in this ministry. Every spring groups of hardworking individuals join other teams to paint the outside of homes for the elderly or disabled. One weekend is spent preparing the home; scraping paint, clearing brush, etc. The following weekend is spent painting and planting to spruce up the house and yard. Messiah has participated in the program every year since its beginning. No special talents are needed. Please call team captain

Outreach around the World
Through our benevolence offerings, Messiah supports world mission. The Division for Global Mission (DGM) is the channel through which the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America expresses itself in mission throughout the world. It sees itself to be an interdependent part of the whole church's mission in the world. With this, DGM engages the members and resources of the ELCA in mission around the world through involvement in evangelism, witness, education, promotion of justice, service, relief, and development.
