9:30am Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing

Messiah chose to support Rise Against Hunger for our Christmas Project. We will hold a meal packing event on Saturday, February 1, 9:30-11:30am. Ages 6 and older are invited to participate.
Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world's most vulnerable. 100 volunteers can package 25,000 meals in about two hours. Each meal is nutritiously sound - fortified with 21 essential vitamins and nutrients. We need to raise just 40 cents for each meal. We have exceeded our goal of raising $10,000 to package 25,000 meals. We need lots of volunteers to participate and package all the meals we are purchasing.
