Pastor Angela | My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me? What is this doing in the Bible? As a child, I was scared of Psalm 22 - placed directly before the comfort of Psalm 23. But Psalm 22 is a Psalm of Jesus: he quotes it just before he dies on the Cross. Psalm 22 is the Great Psalm: a passage that moves us from desperation to assurance, that God has not abandoned us but has saved us.
