I've visited, now what?
Your next step is to come back again. Just come. As our guest, we welcome you to look around, ask questions and be part of anything we have and do here on Messiah's campus AND out in the community.
Grab a cup of coffee and head for the Welcome Center for a casual meet and greet with one of our Messiah pastors. Coffee with Our Pastor is held on various dates and times throughout the year.
Join Pastor Angela in this 4-week introductory course. We'll spend three weeks studying the Bible, Baptism and Communion, and living faith in daily life. On the fourth week, you'll be invited to make a new Faith Commitment and be recognized as a Partner in Ministry at Messiah. All new Partners in Ministry will be recognized during the 9:30am worship service on the Sunday following the 4-week course.
If you're already a Partner in Ministry, but want to reaffirm your commitment and get a refresher on the basics of faith, you're invited to come too and reaffirm during the worship service. If you haven't been baptized or been through confirmation, this is also a great opportunity to learn and prepare for your own adult baptism and confirmation, which can be part of our Partner in Ministry Commitment recognition.
Week 1: Bible (canon within canon - key scriptures)
Week 2: Sacraments (Baptism and Communion)
Week 3: Vocation (serving God in your day-to-day life)
Week 4: Commitment Statements
Week 5: Partner in Ministry Recognition in Worship Service
Messiah Lutheran Church is truly a family rich in relationship and outreach. If you have been thinking, praying, or searching for a place to belong ... we welcome you here!
Getting connected and feeling engaged can take your church life to a whole new level, growing you spiritually in your walk with God. We want you to feel that this is your church home. That being said, building relationships is very important, especially in the beginning.
You may come to worship week after week and be filled up spiritually, however without taking steps further to engage in the church community, even worship can feel lonely. It won't satisfy all that you are as a follower of Christ.
This is why we urge you to find connection. The easiest way to start is to try a Bible Study, find an area to serve and help out or join a small group.
Another great tool to help you find meaningful connection is to speak with one of our friendly Connections Team members. Meet with a connector, one on one over a cup of coffee. This casual get acquainted time is not only enjoyable, but helpful in discerning some areas of ministry best suited to you. There is never an obligation to sign up for anything. A Messiah Connector is not a sales person. We truly want to get to know you and to help you on your journey at your own pace.
