Partner in Ministry, Jake Bach will lead a 3-week series on Religion in America, Part 3: The Century of Conflict, 1845-1945
Meet on Sundays in the Fellowship Room on May 7, 14 at 10am and either May 28 or June 4 at 10am (stay tuned for which date will be the 3rd Sunday)
The main topical focus of this series will be the theological/ideological competition between science and modernism (AKA “Liberalism”) on the one hand; and “Fundamentalism” and Premillennial Dispensationalism on the other hand.
We will discuss evolution & the Scopes trial; rapture & tribulation/Armageddon; The Gilded Age/”Roaring 20s”; Depression/”Soup Kitchens”; transcontinental RR & industrial revolution/mass production/urban slums; and World Wars (among others).
