In some cultures, a dowry price could be a reflection on a person’s value. But God does not look at the same things that people look at. The Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). And so it was with David…unlikely shepherd, unnoticeable teenager. Yet, as David followed God’s heart (all in) he was able to find himself and serve to his full potential…as giant slayer and king of Israel. God’s call to us does not have qualifying conditions or experience required…only an appreciation for the dowry Jesus paid for you. Remember, you are a priceless child of the King!
