Ezra, a priest, was the leader of a group of Exiles who returned to Jerusalem for the blessing of a newly built temple. But when Ezra got to Jerusalem, he found out that many of the Israelites had been unfaithful: they'd lost their way. All that was left was a remnant, who returned to the faith of their ancestors.
