Equal Exchange Coffee
The first Sunday of every month is coffee Sunday. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa mix are available for purchase on the patio. All items bought are from Equal Exchange and come from small farmer co-ops. In addition, proceeds from sales at Messiah go to Lutheran World Relief's coffee project which also provides support.
Hope 4 Kids is a non-profit organization making a difference in the lives of kids all over the world. Their mission is to bring hope to kids in the greatest need through health, love, dignity and joy. Messiah offers opportunities to travel in mission to Uganda each year or two. You may also want to sponsor a child, which supports their ability to have an education and some of life's most basic needs.
Pillowcase Dresses
Gather your pillow cases and let the fun begin! With an easy pattern plus a few simple tricks with ribbon and elastic you'll produce the cutest little dresses around. These dresses are made for precious little girls in Uganda. They are lightweight for their warm weather offering modest coverage. Make them at home on your own time at your own pace. When you are done, bring to the Church Office and one of many mission travelers will deliver the dresses.
Package food for thousands of people in third world countries. This is a hands on experience. We actually measure all the ingredients and package them right here at Messiah in preparation for shipment. All ages can participate in this ministry.
