Cereal Drive for Casa Youth Shelter
During the month of April, Messiah Kids sponsored a cereal drive for Casa Youth Shelter, an organization that provides temporary shelter for runaways and youth in crisis, enabling them to come through their crisis with increased personal strength and a sense of renewal within a supportive environment with family reunification as a primary goal. Thanks to everyone who supported this cause. We collected 159 boxes of cereal. The boxes were delivered on Tuesday, May 17, by Melanie Cazin, our Children's Ministry Leader. When she delivered the boxes, she said, "the kids were super excited because they've only had corn flakes the last few weeks, so they were super stoked at the prospect of variety!"
