Come and See: An Invitation Without Pressure - Only Grace

02.17.26 | by Bob Mooney

    Friends in Christ,

When Jesus says, “Come and see,” he isn’t offering a set of instructions or expectations. He’s offering a different way of living.

A way shaped not by fear, but by trust.
Not by scarcity, but by grace.
Not by comparison, but by freedom.

So often, fear sneaks quietly into our spiritual lives—fear of not being enough, fear of falling behind, fear of measuring ourselves against someone else’s faithfulness or generosity. But God’s call never comes wrapped in fear.

Scripture reminds us that love casts out fear—not by shaming it away, but by making room for trust. Trust that we are already seen. Trust that we are already held. Trust that God’s work in us unfolds at a deeply human pace.

When we talk about stewardship—how we share our time, our gifts, and our resources—it’s honest to say these conversations can stir discomfort. And that’s okay. Discomfort isn’t a problem to solve; it’s often a sign that something meaningful is being discerned.

So, hear this clearly: there is no pressure here. No countdown clock. No comparison chart. Just space. Space to reflect. Space to pray. Space to notice what trust looks like in your own life.

Jesus never measured faithfulness by speed or size. He honored sincerity and trusted people to respond in ways that were real, not rehearsed.

So, the invitation is simple and gentle: come and see a way of living rooted in trust—free from fear, shaped by grace, and held in love.

Faith commitment cards were distributed during worship services this month. Please bring the card to church on March 1st as they will be received as part of our offering that day. You may also complete it online by clicking here.

Hope to see you on Sunday,
